In the days before directional running, and GE's, CP was SD40-2's....plus the 25 F's. On the mainline out west, that was it. The only question was the number. For most unit trains, 2 or 3 plus 2 mid was standard. The tail end of this train is still on the Cisco bridge as coal loads head for Vancouver.
