Caption: CN Train 492 is passing through CN Hobson just west of the Sarnia Station, which is the control point where three tracks merge into one to access the tunnel. With train 492 terminating in Sarnia, it means they have to go into the yard. In a rare stroke of luck they took the south service track to get into the yard, as the "Sarnia Runner" was blocked by 425. Note the nasty weeds always on the south track which don't seem to ever go away and make photos from the south track nasty. This location was formerly called "East Summit" for over 100 years until the new tunnel was opened in 1995, and CTC was extended through the tunnel removing the need for the Sarnia Yard TMD. The out of service signals denote the C1 lead which was removed.

The weeds! Better bring your weed spray next time before it looks like this again:

Yeah. Cn has done a lot of work to drain the swamp but it’s still swampy.
Amazing how bad that spot still is.
Signals for c1 lead have been removed completely. Strange…..
