Eastward train No. 876 with CN 9164 + 4210 has stopped to restore-to-normal a switch leading to a large Canfor sawmilling operation three miles west of Houston at Derek, and is about to get underway again, a perfect photo opportunity from the overpass by N Road to catch the Bulkley River bridge at mileage 88.4. Seen on Sunday 1981-10-04 at 1727 PDT, when F-units and timetable and train order operation was everyday business.

  1. Nice composition, Ken. The little details really stand out here.

  2. SHARP! Great photo….I’ve always loved those old F units.
