Caption: Finally some detours. A somewhat major derailment took place on the Dundas Sub the morning of July 25, 2025. Reportedly 40 or so cars from M383 jumped the tracks early in the morning between Paris and Brantford. This triggered some detours over the Guelph Sub totaling 5 trains: VIAs 70, 72, 75, & 79 and CN M397 (pictured). It doesn't compare to the Feb. 2003 detours which saw several freights detour over the Guelph. With Metrolinx, it's nice to have at least one freight detour. The last time I shot detours over the Guelph Sub was Feb. 2008. At least two eastbounds detoured, at least what I shot. I was tight on time for 397, so I had to get the station shot and one other shot in Baden. Others took to more aggressive chasing. Power for M397 was CN 3215-CN 3887 (matching "100 CN" units).
