The More You Know
CP 9017 takes the lead in day 1 of a multiple day CWR train on the Hamilton sub back in March of this year. Everything on the railway is a gamble, as I was operating on a hunch that the train was going to run on this day, but I took it as it would of been my first time seeing a Canadian Pacific barn leader
Lord and behold, I had woken up to a text that one of my buddies was on the train, and the game was on. After getting held up by 3 trains before heading down the Hamilton sub (no surprise there), it slowly leans along Waterdown North after dropping rail a few hundred meters down the line where I was standing
But, just a few months after, I discovered that there is a station (now used as an office) behind where the lead units are in the frame. I totally did not notice this as the trees were blocking off most of the structure from me as I waited for the train to finish dumping rail

  1. Nice catch. Glad to know the station is still there too….although now more hidden by the trees. When I went and shot photos of the station….owners of the business had no issue, just warned me to be careful since it was such a busy place! And there wasn’t as much growth from the vegetation surrounding the right of way.
