Great shot Don.
CN 89 (1st) was built by Grand Trunk Pointe St. Charles shops in 1913 and named Ottawa. It became CN 97 in 1924, then CN 98, CN 92, & finally CN 89, assigned to the VP of CN’s Atlantic Region.
It was modernized in 1960 and sold for scrap in 1972.
Our grandfather’s Rule Instruction Car CN 15019 was often parked on those same storage tracks in Capreol.
Great memories brought back with your pic.
Thanks, Paul, for the history of 89.
I took my rules exams on those very tracks as well.
Markers in place for end of train and end of
2025.
Happy New Year everyone!!!!!
