I almost did not take this photo in August of 1984, given the Maple Leaf and other Amtrak trains went through my hometown of Lyons, NY, on Conrail between Rochester and Syracuse. I probably took the photo because I liked the Toronto Harbor Castle Hilton in the background just above the departing 347. In any case today F40PH's are mostly history, and the Amfleet cars are on borrowed time with new equipment coming in.
