Caption: Well-worn CN GP40-2LW 9615 slams the CN-OBRY (ex-CP) Brampton diamond as it heads west through downtown with the daily #145 Roadrailer train. The regular #144/145 and #147 (Fridays instead of #145) Roadrailers would usually pull a single unit for the assignment, often of the GP40 or SD40 variety, but sometimes something bigger such as an SD50F, SD75I or C40-8M would show up on point.
Long an annoyance for CN because of reduced speeds (and CP because they had to keep maintaining it, even into the OBRY era) the diamonds were finally removed in early July 2024, a few years after the OBRY had run its final train. The final Roadrailer ran in November 2015. CN 9615, sporting a new coat of paint, is still kicking around.

Great pic. Brings back memories moving over that diamond. I was very happy when the finally “straight railed” it which let CN trains move across the diamond at track speed. I think the diamonds at Melrose and Doncaster are the only ones left that have speed restrictions
