Aldershot used to be a wonderful place to watch trains. You could drive down to the tracks, park near the old "cold storage" and take photos to your heart's content or just watch the action, undisturbed. On a bright January afternoon in 1997, a CN westbound rolls through behind new SD75I 5636, GTW GP38-2 5707 (soon to be renumbered 4907, formerly MP 2027), GTW SD40-2 5934 (formerly UP 4180), a 7200 series GP9RM and a slug (the latter two units likely bound for Sarnia).
