Back in 1964, CN purchased 4 full length dome cars from the Milwaukee Road. They are shown in Capreol, Ontario, marshalled ahead of the caboose, heading west to Transcona Shops in Winnipeg for refurbishing.

  1. My favourite dome to ride in. Having travelled on both, for me, the ex CP’s just don’t cut the mustard. They look good with the stainless outside, but, it stops there. The weight and the 6 wheel trucks on the above gave a superior ride. End to end windows too, you were not missing anything outside. :-)
