An extra freight bound for Montreal passes through Danforth with an eclectic mix of power on the head end, in the form of a GP9, RS18, RS3, and DMIR SD9. During the winters beginning 1963-1964 through the winter of 1973-1974, DM&IR SD9s and SD18s were often leased by CN, as well as CP and other lines, to fill out power shortages.
