We're bouncing around in speeding cab car 201 of GO Transit train #252 (Bramalea-Union) after crossing the Humber River bridge over its namesake river and the Weston Golf & Country Club, soon to arrive at Weston station. The stretch in the distance from whence we came is the climb to Etobicoke North GO Station at the top of the hill, with overpasses for Islington Avenue and Highway 401 faintly visible. The CN McGill sign goes wizzing by on the right (Mile 9.6 CN Halton Sub), and concrete whistleposts stamped "CNR" by the bridge bear signs warning against trespassing (it's a looooong way down, with no side handrails and only a few of those old water barrel platforms to seek refuge). The golf club also has a private crossing beyond the bridge, so golfers could cross easily from one part of the course to the other.

The sleepy branchine feel here is gone today, as Metrolinx has since added a few tracks (4 total now) and extra spans to widen the bridge in the early-mid 2010's. The McGill name is also gone, as the new interlocking plant added to the west was named Humberview instead. The private golf crossing has also been replaced with a tunnel under the tracks.
