Caption: It's been awhile, but every so often another photographers photo seems to pop up out of nowhere. This time, it was of the old C&O station in Wallaceburg. Living in the 'now' as a resident of Chatham-Kent, I always love seeing old photos of stations that still exist.

As mentioned, it was Bill Thomson's photo from 1976 that caught my eye. Better idea was to time machine, and with some difficulty. My first photo of this station, was from 20 some odd years ago. Obviously, even then it was a chore since front access was added for those physically impaired, as well as front steps. But the angle of daylight, the added height to the building when it was set on a new foundation...all increased the difficulty. But, its still here.

I am not sure of it's current use. It was an SPCA at one point, public works office the next. Last I heard, the fresh coat of paint and roof went on, for a railway club (either historical museum or model train club) was to occupy it. Hoping a fellow contributor can shed the light....as for Bill, I only just started getting in touch with him just before he passed. Hope this photo makes him proud.
