This is a very unusual piece of railway equipment with a specific purpose HEPX 2000 is stopped waiting for a train to clear. Because of the size of the transformer, we have multiple restrictions across the entire route. Including not being allowed to have other trains beside our train. Makes for a very long day! On 5/8/2016 we moved this transformer from Hamilton to Ontario Hydro's Pickering Nuclear power plant. Question time? 1 What is this car called? 2 What makes this car unique in more ways than one? 3 What are the 6 axle trucks at the ends of the car known as?

    Wonder if the European version of the HTCR truck (on the CLass 66′s) got ripped off from this design.
