CN NW2 impatiently waits for passengers from the NMRA 6th Division Meet to board at the Alberta Railway Museum gift shop for a train ride (several "back and forth" passes on museum grounds). NW2 7944 was built by EMD in Lagrange in 1946 and donated to the Museum by CN in 1977. Former Montreal commuter car 6740, built in 1952 (an MU trailer in service until 1995), is on loan from Alberta Prairie Railway Excursions in Stettler according to the Canadian Trackside Guide. The station was built by the Canadian Northern Railway in 1909 and moved here in 1973. (The station building now in St. Albert is a replica.)

  1. Seems that the West could teach Ontario a thing or two about the importance in preservation!

    Great little photo.
