Kit bashed
Here's one for the modelers.
ONT 1699 (ex-ONT 100201-100299 series flat car, NSC built June 1940) has ex-ONT 1595 'water storage only' tank strapped to its deck as they sit on a deadline in ONR's North Bay, ON yard May 4, 2004.
Although it is now 24 years ago, I remember that day quite well as there was so much to view and shoot as I walked around the shops and yard for hours on that clear and sunny day. :-)

  1. Math correction.
Last line in my caption should read ‘Although it is now 22 years ago’ …

  2. My understanding is a lot of this stuff was purged from the roster and scrapped in 2025 and into 2026.

  3. The equipment in the photos I took on May 4, 2004, that have posted recently was all scrapped in the mid-to-late 2000′s.
I have no doubt there have been many more cars scrapped at ONR since that time.
I’ll see if I can dig up additional pics from later years. :-)
