Approach the Leaside crossover,
White Flags denote CP Rail 5737 Extra West,
The Phone Box at left is for the CN Leaside Branch lead (ex CNoR)
CNR retained the CNoR north track rights on the CPR Belleville Sub from Donlands mile 204.6 to near the Wickstead Ave level crossing mile 205.44 (junction service track to the CN Leaside branch),
for CN crews 'Movements between Donlands and Wickstead Ave will be governed by CP Rail time table'
The signal on that gantry to the left of 5737's cab protects CP Rail eastbound movements for the service track switch (points facing east) connecting to the CP Rail north main track.
CP Rail 5737 is west of the Wickstead level crossing, March 2, 1980 Kodachrome by S.Danko.

Except for the Tremco plant in the back, and the radio mast, none of this is here today.
That phone box brings back a a memory of one of our Dayliner trips stopping at a phone box in this area before proceeding down the
Don branch.
Steve and I managed to meet at the UCRS meeting in Hamilton last night and talked about this photo, I’ve been interested in exploring the area more.
Glad to know how much it has changed. There’s some good locatations worth scouting out and Steve left me with some places to try.
F.y.i the UCRS meetings are at the Peoples church, Hamilton, 7 PM on the 4th Thursday of the month, September to June. July/August is no meetings. All welcome
