Another one for the Ryerson students: TTC CLRV 4117 heads west on Dundas Street crossing Victoria, within a stone's throw of Yonge Street, Dundas Square and the Ryerson University campus. Just behind the streetcar is the side of the famed Imperial Pub, long one of the local university watering holes. One thing I never noticed before is the Imperial's rooftop patio to the left of the front windshield, an ideal vantage point to take in the happenings around Dundas Square while enjoying a pint.

Visible above the patio is the newer student residence building at Dundas & Bond (built on the old Evangelical Temple church site, I've got a slide somewhere...). On the upper left is the old Simpsons-Sears catalogue warehouse building (now lofts). Some newer highrises along Church can be seen in the distance, along with the edge of the Bond Place Hotel on the right. There's a few changes compared to Bill Hood's similar 1982 photo here).

Photos show we were making our way to that horrible pizza place nearby (the one with two pizzas in its name) at Church for lunch after class, then a trip straight to Mimico via the subway to feast on surplus F59's.

One of those silly but colourful Koodoo ads and a selection of 2000's autos rounds things out (anyone nostalgic about a Grand Caravan yet?). There's been a few changes compared to Bill Hood's similar 1982 photo here).
