L551 with the GTW 6425 CN 4936 heading eastbound toward Milton with a good size train today. L551 is operating on the newly constructed south track between Mile 38.9 and Derry Mile 36.9, having just passed over the future parallel right hand crossovers which will form part of a new Controlled Location. The former main track, now the north track is partially new construction before being cut into the existing track. The former main track can be seen off to the right, portions of which will eventually form one of two yard leads for what will become the east entrance/exit to the Milton Logistic Hub. The former Controlled Location Ash, Mile 38.8 has been removed.

  1. Nice leader. With so many GP pairings, it’s great to see an SD in the top spot.

  2. The leader is a GTW GP40-2

  3. Yikes, was I down the wrong track with that one. Thanks for pointing that out Issac. :-)

  4. This spot should become part of “ash east” once the plant is installed and ready to go.

I find it strange they moved “ash” only to remove it 2 years later.

  5. Nice photo.

Removing ‘Ash’ is puzzling, although decisions by any rail company don’t always make sense.
