Caption: Hanging out with "The Egg", "The Frenchman" and "The Foamductor" one day at the infamous Bartlett Avenue crossing along CP's North Toronto Sub (where shenanigans were known to happen, from time to time) yielded a good number of trains, and quite a few with the then-populous CP SD9043MAC units. Here, CP train #222 has SD9043MAC 9117 on point with ES44AC 8786 as they climb upgrade on the stretch from from Davenport Diamond to Bartlett Avenue in the evening light.
Afterwards, a visit to Lambton Yard yielded a good number of Geeps for everyone, and I let them play on the playground equipment and slide in Runnymede Park to burn off some steam after a long day shooting all those trains.

I loved that crossing. My friend Chris informed he was driving the camo schemed unit from Wolverton and I promptly met him there where he gave a horn blast. Another time I met a fellow female railfan who promptly bought us a case of beer at the local craft brewery and pizza. And then another time a bunch of kids were there, lawn chairs and everything. One of them said to me “I’m a railfan, do you have a problem with that?”. Lots of characters at Bartlett!
