Caption: GO Transit F59PH 522 gives evening Georgetown line train #207 a big push out of downtown Brampton at sunset, clearing the CN-OBRY diamond and making the climb upgrade to Mount Pleasant GO station with cab car 240 in the lead.
Back when Brampton station only had a single platform, the crossover here was regularly used by VIA trains to get to/from the north track for station stops. GO and CN rarely, if ever, used it (since Mount Pleasant also only had a north track platform at the time, all GO trains ran on the north).
GO 522 would have an interesting post-Toronto career, being sold to RB Leasing in 2009 as RBRX 18522 and operating in VIA service in Quebec for a bit, before being sent to California and leased to Metrolink for commuter service. Larry's Truck and Electric came to own it, and when it finished its time on Metrolink it was sold to a Mexican operation for passenger service, and subsequently destroyed in a wreck and scrapped on site.
