Sometimes it rolled through overnight, or in this case, at last light: an Extra 392 slams the CN-OBRY diamond as it eases downgrade into downtown Brampton, about to cross Mill Street on its trip to MacMillan Yard. CN SD40-2 5365 leads BNSF C44-9W 4079, BNSF SD40-2 6800 (with a massive 123″ snoot nose) and IC SD40-2 6119 (CN-painted). Despite the GE, the three SD40-2′s all elephant style was a nice catch (the lead ’40 was originally built for Missouri Pacific, the BNSF for Santa Fe, and the IC for Burlington Northern).Also neat in this image is the old CN-CP Brampton interchange track switch and dwarf signal still in place on the north track.
