On February 11, 1972, a derailment at Morrisburg on the Kingston Sub and resulting propane tank explosions shut down the mainline for a short time forcing CN trains to detour via the CPR. Rounding the curve on approach to Leaside at the top end of the Don branch of the Belleville Sub, CN 50, the Rapido, is just one of many detours.
