I posted an image of Upsala's CP station to railpictures.ca taken in 1975, about 10 years ago. Now I find a shot from 1974; and figured enough time has gone by for an update.
Discussion was the original station was dismantled or just moved by truck to the Founders Museum and Prairie Village near Thunder Bay. The agreement was drawn up; but according to the site 'Canada-rail' the station caught fire and was destroyed before it could be moved. The site further goes on to state that CP supplied structural plans and the building at the museum is but an exact replica. Anyway, we do know the original is long gone from the little hamlet of Upsala............

  1. Interesting photo Arnold. Thanks for doing a ‘update’. I never noticed that the passenger section of the station sat up high on a solid limestone (I think) foundation, compared to the freight section which looks ‘ground level’.

I had my suspicions too about the building at the museum, outside of Thunder Bay. Although sporting an ‘UPSALA’ name board, that design reminded me of McKerrow, also long gone.
