Just a few extra condos added!
I always find it funny how that heritage block along Draper St. managed to survive, with all the new condos and high rises dwarfing that old Victorian house at the end, visible by the bridge.
Nice to see something other than a passenger
train here.
Strange seeing a freight in the ‘trench’ – have freights used it in the past at all other than perhaps light power?
There used to be a local that ran to the other side of Union from Oakville as well as the occasional freight from Mac to Aldershot (or vice versa)
Matthew I think that local was from Mimico not Oakville
They were based out of both places many years ago. After Mimico stopped being used as a “freight terminal”, everything was based out of Oakville and continued like that until service to the east end of Union and the Portlands ended. Now the local just goes as far east as Mimico normally
