Railpictures.ca - Dan Dell'Unto Photo: An excellent leader: CN RoadRailer #145 rolls through downtown Brampton in the evening, past the VIA/GO station, with CN SD40u 6013 in charge of tonight’s long train of Triple Crown trailers originating at MacMillan Yard. 6013 was originally built as SD40 5059 in 1968, and rebuilt to Dash-3 standards by AMF Technotransport in 1995 (one of 29 units upgraded, 6000-6028). This clear wide-open shot wasn’t possible before (and isn’t now) as most of the foreground was previously overgrown with heavy brush, bordered by a chain link fence. It was all bulldozed clear for construction of a second (south) Brampton Station platform on this side of the tracks. Half of Railroad Street, that we’re standing on, had also been closed off to traffic for the work.
