Caption: No mapping of this location here. If you've been to mile marker 242 of CN's Kingston Sub., then you've certainly have memories of train watching! That's because shown on this bright afternoon, I made my first visit to Memory Junction. This was surprise number 2 of the day, upon an invitation by my grandparents (pictured is my grandfather). They knew the 'owner' Ralph Bangay. Main exhibits were displayed inside the old station, with plenty of old rolling stock on the sidings that ran behind the station.
Through time, I would visit a few more times and was never disappointed by the action on the Kingston. Not only that, but just a stone throw away was CP's Belleville Subdivision...plenty of trains.
Sadly, Ralph passed away. So too did my grandparents. The museum was closed, and all artifacts were sold or donated elsewhere. Not all was lost. The station is still there, and I believe is still a commercial business. But that's not all.....
....the memories still live.
