Caption: TTC CLRV 4032 heads northbound on a Route 510 Spadina run approaching College Street in the rain, passing the El Mocambo, a longtime popular event venue in this area of Toronto whose classic neon sign marked this stretch of Spadina Avenue for decades. The wet glossy pavement adds a nice touch, even if the streetcar reflection is incomplete.
4032, built in 1979, lasted a good 40 years in service before it was finally retired in February 2019 and sold for scrap. The 4032's side ad advertises a successful career upon attendance of some place called Ryerson University, a name that the El Mocambo, despite all its recent ownership woes, has managed to outlive.
