Caption: With the weekend of the Waterloo Railway Expo approaching, the smell of coal smoke once again fills the air in St. Jacob's. The steam crew at Waterloo Central has been hard at work making final preparations on the 1923 MLW 0-6-0, returning to service after a three year restoration. The major work includes a new firebox, rebuilt air compressor, rebuilt dynamo and upgraded electrical components, the 6 brake replaced with a 26L brake system, and the installation of a Lempor exhaust to improve draft. Shortly before departure, the boiler is blown down, and 9 will momentarily roll off the shop track to lift 5 coaches and van to begin a few test runs halfway to Elmira.
