Caption: I submitted this just as a "refresh the memory" image. The CN Fort Erie diesel shop used to be such the interesting place to visit. Almost anything CN could be found from one day to the next, including locomotives such as the two GT noted here. From the left; CN 5099, GT 6424, 6423, CN 7306. Centre is CN 5175, unknown behind it, and what appears to be 4018 on the right. Of interest too is the 8 man gang motor car CN 187-78 on the extreme right, Fairmont Railway Motors Model A4, built 1975. (This information, of course, from Paul O'Shell) Heavy work wound down in 1987 and the shop facility closed for good in 1989. Niagara Railway Museum opened utilizing this building in 2010 and now has an interesting collection of rolling stock and artifacts. Check on-line for information.
