Caption: An H4 in the wild, in its natural habitat on the Bloor-Danforth subway line. Minutes before a brand new Toronto Rocket (TR) set in testing service rolled into the station upstairs, the oldest relics of the subway line were still hauling passengers below. TTC H4 5602 leads a 6-pack of the 1970's Hawker Siddeley cars westbound, pausing at St. George Subway Station just before 10pm on the way west to Kipling Station.

The new TR cars spelled the end of the entire H4 fleet by January 2012, pushed out by Yonge-University-Spadina line T1's transferred to the B-D line. The H5 and H6 fleets were also retired as deliveries continued.
