Caption: “Preston Nights” one of the things I miss most about my old job was sometimes getting to fill in as back up company rep at the Cambridge Toyota plant. Typically a night thing that would allow me to pass by Preston in the early morning hours to see what CN (before that GEXR) had laying over on the old Fergus spur beside the the once busy walk board trans load facility. This arrangement last until the facility moved away off line, forcing this section of track to fall silent for good. The location of a well lit car lot prided lots of useful light for photography. This was the only time I caught a pair of GP9RM’s laying over. Today only a couple customers remain on this one time busy spur, only one customer remains in Cambridge the other close to Guelph.
