Caption: The Brooks Aqueduct was built between 1912 and 1914, to supply water to farmers from Newell Lake. The CPR built the Aqueduct to encourage settlement in the area and it remained in service for around 30 years, however was prone to leaks and was eventually replaced by an elevated canal on a berm. The Aqueduct is currently a protected historical site, although has had some sections removed over the years. The location is easily accessible and trains still operate past this historical location. CPKC 100-22 is one of the many daily trains that pass this location.
