Caption: Working a sunny winter's afternoon run on train #85 from Toronto-Sarnia, VIA F40PH-2 6429 (sporting its former green Telus-wrap) departs Brampton Station with two stainless steel "HEP" Budd cars for Georgetown. The unit was originally outshopped with a large Telus flower on the side, that was later replaced with logos for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic bid. Not evident in this photo, when I was shooting 6429 on the station platform I had noticed the tail end of an unfortunate bird that had met its demise, firmly wedged in the gap between the headlight and left side of the nose.
Today, old 6429 has since been rebuilt and repainted into the more modern VIA scheme, and a number of services on the Toronto-Sarnia VIA corridor have been cut.
