C c c c ooooold The first stop on the Fergus spur is Flo-Chem - one of the few industries in the area leftover from the CN days. The conductor has checked the cars at Flochem and is walking to throw the switch. The hogger, keeping warm in the cab with a smoke is watching the traffic on HWY 24 back up - the crossing bells and lights are already ringing - a reminder that the signals are still set for the days when the Fergus spur handled 40 MPH RDC's and freight trains in the 60's and 70's - to the chagrin of drivers.
