On a nice warm spring morning, April 10, 1977, the CN Rapido is pulling away from Toronto's Union Station beginning its trip eastward. Power is CN 6542, VIA 6627 and CN 3107 with a lengthy train in tow. Although the VIA system has not yet officially come into being, a lot of cars and the B unit are already sporting what is now such a very familiar paint scheme. Note the O'Keefe Centre and a very visible Royal York Hotel in the background.
