A southbound intermodal train flys through Midhurst. Gone are the days when trains would stop to do work here. the south siding switch was removed about a year ago and only OCS movements occcur now. Behind the locomotives on the east side of the mainline was a wye that originally served a large ballast pit. the wye and was used as an occasional team track and was removed around 2000. The Barrie-Collingwood Railway gets the local traffic now.
