![One for the subway fans. On the morning I left Cochrane, I saw two of these brand new TTC subway cars from Bombardier at a truck stop on the south end of town. Presumably these cars took the much longer route through Cochrane due to the very hilly and twisty highway 17 between Sault Ste. Marie and Wawa probably not being able to handle loads of this size.](http://www.railpictures.ca/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/IMG_6259-200x150.jpg)

![CN F40PH 105 basks in the late afternoon sun after returning to Sault Ste Marie with the Agawa Canyon Tour Train. (Operating with engines at each end in a push-pull configuration, 105 would have actually brought up the rear of the southbound train.)
If you take a look at the windshield of the locomotive, note the forward facing camera just inside the cab. Video from the camera in the lead unit is relayed to monitor screens inside the upgraded passenger coaches used on the tour train.](http://www.railpictures.ca/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/IMG_5954-200x150.jpg)

![CN SD70M-2 brings in the daily northbound freight train from the United States across the ancient swing bridge over the historic Canadian ship lock canal at Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. Built in the 1890s to allow ship traffic on the lakes to pass between Lake Superior and Lake Huron, this lock now only handles smaller recreational traffic, with today's modern massive lake freighters using the newer, larger locks on the American side of the river at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan.](http://www.railpictures.ca/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/IMG_5775-200x150.jpg)
