About RTCDave
I have been photographing trains since I was 15 years old back in nineteen seventy something. I have worked on the railway since 1979 starting at Conrail in Windsor, and have worked at both CP and CN. My first slide camera was my Dad's old Zenit-E (Russian POS with a sticky shutter). From there I went through a few Minolta SRT-201's and X-700's. I now use a Nikon D-60 which still works fine. I have started scanning slides using an Epson V550.

![Conrail YDRR-2 has backed down into the interchange to pick up an acid train from the CP. Interesting power for this move included SP 7801, a B30-7 with all the SP additions including an L-shaped windshield, high and low headlights plus the red "emergency light" which illuminated when the train went into emergency braking application (Warned on-coming trains to stop before passing). In this photo the red light is on. Maybe the CR crew has no idea what its for and don't know how to shut it off. The CP interchange had four tracks and was adjacent to the Electric Yard whose track are on the right.](http://www.railpictures.ca/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/1982-09-02-CR-YDRR-2-Acid-SP7801-8227-Windsor-Ont-2-200x150.jpg)

This was the regular routine for new power out of GMDD. Presumably, if there was a problem, the GMDD rep could meet the train back in London.
