A candidate for the railway modeller's 'prototype for everything' department.
Recently repainted CN GP38 #4950 leads rebuilt GP9 #4131 Eastbound up the Halton sub on a local on an May afternoon. The consist includes 4 gons, a centre spine flat car and a box car, presumably headed for industry around Milton.
In the age of heavily silenced SD70s etc, these two old-timers were making a glorious noise as they plodded east.
