A matched pair of Tier 4, Cummins powered MP54AC's charge this eastbound GO train on the Lakeshore Line (MX Oakville Sub) across the reverse truss bridge at Port Credit that has fascinated me. It's certainly been there a long time and surprisingly untouched after all the infrastructure upgrades by Metrolinx! See these photos by Bill Thomson such as This in 1964 or this shot of a train that fits on it in 1981. I bet some of the same Graffiti is still on it.

  1. Very nice picture Stephen. The blue water of the Credit River, the lighter blue sky and the “grass” green of the two MP54’s makes for a very colourful picture. Like the way you centred the locomotives on the bridge, and the incorporation of the No Trespassing No Fishing sign. At least it doesn’t say No Picture Taking. The north side of the reverse truss bridge is now masked by the new bridge holding the GO installed third track. Well done and thank you.

  2. Tx. I could wish for a better reflection but I only had 45 minutes to capture something.

I won’t be going there anytime soon :)
