A pair of green and gold MLW RS18s lead a westbound freight through Grimsby lowing for work in front of 1902 Grand Trunk station at right, which burnt down December 31, 1994 (futher reading here), and the local freight shed/fruit platform at left.  CNR 3716 would later go to the Cape Breton & Central Nova Scotia Railway.   1. Great photo….as you don’t see too many shots from this end at the old Grimsby station. I too remember when I found out about the demise of this station, reading an article in the old Hamilton Spectator paper. Never knew the station existed, missed opportunity as at that time I lived approx. 45 minutes away from Grimsby too.
