TTC 2894 was one of two Peter Witts used for the new Beltline Tour Tram service started in 1973: car 2766 had been retained after the Peter Witt fleet was retired in the mid-60's, and 2894 was acquired back by the TTC (previously stored in a barn near Barrie). Both were rebuilt and restored at Hillcrest Shop, and later joined by Witt 2424 loaned back by the Halton County Radial Railway.

The Beltline Tour Tram service (just looping around a few main downtown streets for the same fare as a regular car) ran seasonally in 1973 and 1974, and after being discontinued by the TTC due to low ridership it was handled by a private operator for a few years after. The three Witts were also often chartered and ran on private fantrips around the city. Today 2894 and 2424 reside at the HCRY streetcar museum in Rockwood, while 2766 is kept by the TTC for special events and fantrips.
