A wall of flame appears to be greeting any westbounds at Sarnia that dare pass these red signals. Of course, there were no trains, and the sky was in fact indicating a Sailors delight for Thanksgiving Monday. So with that in mind, I spent Monday along the river photographing a CN local and a few Ships that passed by. To see the ship photos visit www.bigships.net where I will post them soon. You'll see a few familiar names there too :)

  1. Love this!

  2. Thanks :) The sunset was unreal and it only lasted 10 minutes.

  3. Great job with this sunset, Mr. Host!

Thanks for the link to BigShips.Net. I enjoyed looking over some truly fantastic nautical images. Registration was super fast and easy. Yikes… more Gold Stars to dole out every evening! I wish you and your team great success!

  4. Thanks Peter. I enjoy creating communities – they are for all of us. Ships are very different than trains but also very similar, it just lent itself naturally to my camera and my programming abilities. But I have to upgrade my glass again for ships, biiig lenses are a must, my 400mm is just not enough, but it’s getting me places now with ‘em.

  5. Was someone standing on the tracks to get this shot? :-)
