A westbound CP train, lead by SOO 763 (SD40-2) and HATX 517 (GP40-2 in Guilford grey over B&M blue), was seen toward the west end of CP's Quebec Street Yard, beside the landmark military heritage T-Block building built 1888 as the London Infantry School.
What interests me about this train are 5 derelict D&H Alco RS-11 and RS-36 locomotives that follow. CP acquired the D&H in 1992; online sources indicate that these engines were sold to NRE in 1993, most of them getting scrapped. Looks to me like they are en route west to NRE in Silvis IL.

  1. Date Correction: April 1995 is new best guess, based on new information. This is well covered in the comments for related image: http://www.railpictures.ca/?attachment_id=36307

I misinterpreted my online source, it indicated these locomotives were RETIRED in 1993, after that went to NRE. But there was quite a gap between those events, they sat at Oneonta NY for a couple of years.
