Although the Penn Central merger finally took effect on 1 February 1968, you could still see solid lash-ups of NYC power on the Canada Division for the first year or two. In this shot from Penn Centrals first summer, we see GP40 3047, GP 7379, and an unidentified F7B lead a train westward.
