Caption: An eerie silence fills the empty yard at Orangeville. Something possessed me late this night after work to make the drive north to document what would soon come to an end, with only days of service left. When the small replacement station was built years ago the future looked somewhat bright for the line. A very successful tourist train helped supplement limited freight service. Unfortunately in the end that wasn’t enough and the city wanted the financial burden gone. This night MP15AC 333 sits cold and quiet, with only a few trips over the line left. Today Orangeville is almost completely rail-less, while the rest of the line sits dormant and considered abandoned with any kind of return to service unlikely. Thanks for the memories OBRY.
