Caption: And in contrast to the doodlebug - here's a fairly new Railliner (CN's term for Budd RDC cars) in front of the Stratford Station in 1959. Note the flags and crests adorning the station.

CN D352 is a Budd RDC-3 built two years earlier in June 1957. It would later be renumbered CN 6352, and rebuilt as RDC-1 6120 (with more seating) before going on to serve VIA, and eventually being sold to operate in Cuba.

  1. HM The Queen visited Stratford that summer as part of the 45-day tour which included the opening of the St. Lawrence Seaway. The flags were obviously still in place.
