Caption: Approaching a stop at CN's West Toronto station, train 987, a local commuter train to Guelph, pounds the diamond with CP's North Toronto Sub. Waiting just to the west of the interlocking is Budd equipped CP train 380, bound for Peterborough but detouring via CP's West Toronto station. This move was done for about ten days on account of mudslides on the Belleville Sub Don branch near the Prince Edward Viaduct. On one occasion, there was an issue with the interlocking, and the Budds were required to use the Galt - Mactier connecting track, swinging east onto the North Toronto Sub at Osler.

Very nice – thanks for sharing all of this – the sequence of events is something you don’t often see together! Takes us right there in 1973.
Wonderful scene from the past.
