As many know on Feb 1 GEXR suffered a runaway and derailment on Feb 1'st. Thankfully no one was hurt in this incident according to the OPP. RLK 4095 is quite damaged though, let's hope this rare straight GP40 is repaired for service.

  1. They didn’t even break a number board. It doesn’t look TOO bad. Hopefully somebody can fix it up. It’s the last RA unit around here isn’t it?

  2. It is indeed, and I don’t think there are many straight GP40′s around either.

This one looks like a lot of work. 2073 has a few bent things here and there but far less issues than 4095. What about the trucks… underframe.. the stuff not immediately visible. Who knows? 2117 has it’s work cut out for it….. they must be looking to get more power over to help out. Where’s RLK 4003 when you need it..

  3. It was returned to service in June 2021
